If you are looking to import video footage onto your computer but do not have a built-in video capture card, there are ways to hook up a video recording device directly to your USB port. This prevents you from taking apart the computer system, which is extremely helpful when using a portable notebook computer system (or if you don’t have any experience working on the interior of a computer, which, depending on the make and model, may be rather difficult to understand).
The entire hookup process does take a few cable connections but it only takes a few minutes to complete. Once completely set up you are able to upload video content from outside equipment, such as analog video cameras and VCRs.
