Routine Study Time
Setting and sticking to routines are important for children. Parents should schedule specific times every day dedicated to homework and study. No other activity should be allowed to interrupt this time. Children should not be allowed to negotiate this time.
Homework time should be an enjoyable time for children. Make up a song to start and end homework time. Parents who sit with their children and help them with their schoolwork are showing an active interest in their child’s learning. These parents should be enthusiastic about homework time. When a child sees how important her education is to her parent, she will begin to take more interest in how she is doing in school.
